Is it safe for me to type my google password on this application?
Your password is stored on your PC and is sent via a secure communication channel to Google for authentication, just as when you login via a browser.
We are very serious about privacy and security.
How about docx and xlsx, can I open those with GDocsOpen?
You can open and upload to your Google Docs account docx and xlsx files. However, due to some limitations in the API Google provides at this moment, we cannot offer support for saving them back to your PC.
Can you explain what happens to my documents if I choose the shared Google Docs account that GDocsOpen provide?
If you don't have a Google account or don't want to use it with GDocsOpen, we offer a shared account. The password for this account is private and managed only by us, but we make the account available to all our users to open, edit and save doc and xls documents. After the user closes the file, it automatically gets deleted from our shared account.
Do I have to pay for future releases of this software?
All minor releases until the next major version of GDocsOpen are available for free and you will be notified to update. However, to get a new release which include significant new features you will have to make a new payment. Discounts may be available for you and we will have a special link or coupon code for our existing clients.
How is the order for GDocsOpen processed? Does it take long? Is it safe?
